We recently installed a reverse osmosis water treatment machine in our house and bought it for my husband because there is something about drinking water through a straw that makes it easier to drink . I loved it, but when we received it and I gave it to him, we noticed a lack of quality. The top slider on the lid is very thick and cheap plastic and as soon as we hand washed it for the first time just to use the jar the soapy water immediately got stuck under the slider lid so we left it on hopefully 2 days had to air dry for the soapy water to come out. If you then wash the straws with too hot water they start to warp, they are not as good straws as some others, the fact that they only get damaged if washed in hot water says a lot. Then use the glass like a cup without a straw, with the water already flowing down the rim. Waste of money and not at all what I was hoping for when I bought it. Now I know why we spend money on branded products because it's too big a gamble.
