Beautiful Fit and Style - Mixed Feelings About The Fabric

I finally got a chance to wear this pretty dress and i am definitely impressed! I wore this to an semi formal theater event and i felt really beautiful in it!I love the style and fit. it’s very flattering and the fit was perfect! I am rather tiny framed at 115lbs and 5’5 so i typically wear an XS for dresses but since XS wasn’t offered, I ordered a small. Usually size small tends to be a tad baggy but i had no issues with that with this.I think it’s due to the fabric which I have mixed feelings about. on one hand I think the spandex like material is nice and lightweight. it also helps the dress hug you in the right areas. It’s additionally nice that it’s flexible and it flows really beautifully. On another hand, I wasn’t quite expecting a spandex like material and i feel it slightly "cheapens” the overall look. By this I mean that spandex type materials make the dress seem more casual than up scale. if that makes sense.BUT, we are talking about a roughly $40 dress described to be "wedding guest” appropriate which I definitely feel is an fair description. This isn’t meant to be super formal and i felt beautiful at my semi formal event. And for the price I think this is a wonderful dress. Plus the dress is understated so it can be easily dressed up or down. making it versatile which is always helpful and nice!I honestly debated even docking one star. i wish I could dock half a star because my mixed feelings about the fabric is my only hesitation. I definitely recommend this dress. it’s classy and pretty and I’m excited to get to wear it again! Definitely worth a buy!
