Smooth and silent, asphalt is ideal for driving. It's great for rowing in the snow and doesn't get too clogged up. Fair on ice, with a rather robust crawl on the ice primer. Dreadful in the muck. Careful driving is required since a skid causes the tread to fill with dirt and the rubber to become slick, like summer tires. Front-wheel drive 1.6 tonne Km missing portions of 10-15 spikes (on drive axle), yet tread is like new; horrible studding; noisy ride. The spikes on the brand new tires were uneven and angled. Never in my life have I seen something like that If you do not plan on driving, this tire is a decent value for the money. I wouldn't buy another one until the next time.
