As you would expect from a pair of Topsider shoes, they offer good traction on slippery decks. Unfortunately, they don't do that for very long. I live aboard my boat and swim a lot so I wear deck shoes all the time which my pair have worn out in months. They also lack some padding, making them uncomfortable for long walks on concrete surfaces. But if you only wear them occasionally on your deck, they'll probably be fine.
