The IOGear Miniview DVI 4-Port USB KVMP Switch was easy to install and ready to use. I use it with a Dell 27" 1920x1200 monitor, a Dell XPS Gen 2 desktop and a Dell XPS M1710 laptop through a docking station. It also uses a Microsoft USB Natural Keyboard Pro with internet access, volume, play/pause, calculator, etc. and a Dell USB mouse. Switching computers and peripherals takes a second or two, but it doesn't bother me. All the extra keys on my keyboard work fine. If you start the computer without setting the switch to connect the monitor, keyboard and mouse, the computer goes into low-resolution mode, but this is Windows working properly. It would be nice if Windows could automatically detect that a A monitor with a higher resolution is present. Resolution was activated after startup. I would have preferred the IOGear switch to have some sort of mounting hardware as I like to keep my desktop tidy. It would also be cool to have a remote control.
