Review on Hang-On Marine Color RDC 150: Advanced Needle Wheel Protein Skimmer for 40 Gallon Saltwater Aquariums by Rebecca Porter

UPDATE 11/22/19 - this skimmer kills! I'm very impressed and highly recommend adding a hose to the drip tray! Going through tons of stuff on this mixed riff 36 on the bow. He's a few months old, 4 fish, quite a bit of coral and I'm very happy with his work. YOU MUST LET IT BREAK! The overflow hose of the collection cup helps here. You can just let it sink in and it will never flood your floor and create a layer of mucus in your body. I would definitely buy this again. I've read negative review after negative review on this skimmer and a few really dug and really fully tested. The parts appear to be of good quality. I wish the suspension ring held the skimmer body better, but for now it works. I just installed it on my new 35 nose and within 6 hours I was seeing a skimmate in the cup. A hole is drilled in the collection cup, which goes back into the tank if it overfills. I also removed the sticker from the main body so there would be no accidental contamination of the adhesive.
