hi i have a great old cd/tape/am/fm boombox. but since the cassettes are not used and the cd player is gathering dust, i wanted to connect my ipod to an old device in the garage. I've looked everywhere to install an extra plug on the non-working side of the cassette on two-tape players. This allowed me to use all the features of a boombox and listen to music from my iPod through the aux jack. but it wasn't worth disassembling. So I got a Phillips cassette adapter, despite the fact that writers on online forums dismissed this method as weird and crappy. Sound via an additional plug has always come first over a cassette adapter. but after getting stuck trying to install an auxiliary jack, I put this adapter in and the sound from my iPod through the two speakers was great. There is some noise from the cassette adapter, but the activity in the garage and the loud music during that activity make it insignificant. It's not a big deal. Now my music sounds great and the sound from the high quality speakers is just superb. My playlist just got bigger and my music activities are not a problem. Great product and Amazon shipping.
