I was very happy about this product. My goal was to bring my 1991 MR2 up to date. I can't say this product is defective as it charged but didn't work with Android Auto. I had to test it before cutting my blank to install this USB box, which by the way is not suitable for Toyota. I have two Toyotas and this one doesn't fit either of them. It should probably be a bit more specific as to what year/model the Toyota fits as it will not fit a 1991 Toyota or a 2007 Toyota. I'm not sure what standard these cables are made to. All I know is that it doesn't work with Android Auto. I know this through trial and error. This product works if you just want to connect your iPod or USB stick for music. Otherwise you don't expect more. Once installed, it looks great but its functionality is limited.
