Del Ray 400 15% Brown Latex Sandpaper has an extra fine grit for a fine finish. Artists probably cringe when they read this and I've never heard of anyone who does, but I paint and I have a beautiful canvas. When it dried, there were lumps of my color. I didn't want to spill the canvas. I've done this before and my paint cracked. This sandpaper has such a fine grain that I simply decided to use it. And it worked! I was able to sand down the roughness in the canvas without removing all of the paint or ruining the fill. I draw scenes and write on my fills so it was great to have a smooth surface on such a beautiful canvas. I then dug up the cracked canvas for paint, and while the results weren't as quick or satisfying, it worked to a degree. Apart from adding scenes and other things to my painting, there are no bare spots on my canvas. First the paint is not completely removed to the canvas, then more paint is added, after that everything is sealed. I am very satisfied with this fine sandpaper. I'm sure it's used in many of my other projects as well.
