We used it to install in front of the lines to our fridge. It was easy enough to connect, but when I turned on the water I got a small drip. After tightening the connection, the dripping increased. The separation showed that the o-ring had been crushed. So my initial pull (which didn't seem very tight) was apparently too tight for the o-ring. A visit to Home Depot and Lowes didn't help locate a replacement o-ring, so I ended up just using the product. as a water leak indicator. My experience has also shown me that a leak can occur between the water supply and the newly created and seemingly fragile fitting of the product and a check valve will not help. I would like a much stronger and more reliable connection before relying on it not leaking.
