My elderly cat has had an upper respiratory tract infection for over two years. He's scared of the vet and too old to be safe (no point in taking him if the mere act of hiking kills him in horror). He started running thick snot out of his nose and I was looking on the internet trying to figure out what to do because he was clearly very close to death. I found a vet website that suggested getting L-lysine. I chose this brand based on reviews and taste. SO glad I did. My cat failed and this thing literally brought him back. It's getting better every day and looking like it did before the infection. It also seems to have helped with his constipation. Needless to say my cats will have this for the rest of their lives. They love the taste and I add it to their wet food with no problem. (Note: this is a powder and you may have to do a little digging to find the scoop.) I cannot recommend this product enough - it literally saved my cat's life.
