Great drive case. For just $10, you can't go wrong with a thin aluminum body. Adapter speed is ok. I tested the same hard drive with the Orico case, but got a slightly faster read/write speed of +10MB/s. When I first connected the drive and placed it in the case, it showed up on my computer and then immediately turned off. I tried again later, but without the body and disk, it was recognized and worked fine. I found the problem was that there were two wires coming from the USB controller on the bottom of the board. When it was put in the case, there was a short circuit due to the aluminum case. My solution to the problem was to wrap electrical tape around the USB controller pins on the back of the board. Since then, the drive cases have been working as expected.
