Fast but light

The case itself is adequate for its intended purpose, but I found it very light. There can be no question of falls or severe blows. Also, there is no SSD support internally, the drive's rigidity and stability is entirely dependent on the sata/power connector. The screw terminals are plastic, so be careful not to over-tighten them. Of course, that can't be done with the tiny screwdriver provided, which wasn't capable of simply screwing them in, let alone over-tightening. The plastic part of my…

That's a good ride. But there is a significant flaw in the design.

Great drive case. For just $10, you can't go wrong with a thin aluminum body. Adapter speed is ok. I tested the same hard drive with the Orico case, but got a slightly faster read/write speed of +10MB/s. When I first connected the drive and placed it in the case, it showed up on my computer and then immediately turned off. I tried again later, but without the body and disk, it was recognized and worked fine. I found the problem was that there were two wires coming from the USB controller on the

Works as it should. But

It matches the display, it comes with a cable but my only complaint here is that of course it works but the hard drive is just loose in the case so if you shake it a little you can hear it hard drive bounces in the case, i put a very thin piece of styrofoam on the bottom of the case to keep the disc from bouncing, now it fits nice and tight, why didn't they do that at the factory, it's Except me if If you choose this option, don't make it very tight to close it, just a little resistance is all…

DO NOT use with Xbox

I got this case for one reason only: to be able to use a 4TB Samsung SSD with my upcoming Xbox One. for the upcoming Series X and I've had a headache for a whole week since I got it. With this case attached, every time I try to copy files from my Xbox to a connected drive it can be a few games and then suddenly all installations just stop, memory check shows the drive is gone connected and cannot be recognized again without reformatting the drive on the computer. First I tried replacing the…

Great outer shell

_______6/2/2021 Update_______________Added performance information. I recently purchased the Gen2 case shown in the photos and have tested this and that. Well, Gen2 10Gb/s (SataIII 6Gb/s) is faster than this Gen1 5Gb/s chassis. I was able to get a read speed of 400MB/s and a write speed of 390MB/s. It's still a great enclosure for HDDs and older Sata-based SSDs. Older Sata SSDs are slightly slower than new ones, so there is less, if any, performance loss. I am still 100% satisfied with this…

Constant interruptions and freezes writes

Sloppy QA from the manufacturer. This device is equipped with a USB 3.0 Type A connector and should come with an AA cable to connect the drive to a PC, media station, etc. For some reason they sent me an A to micro type B cable which means nothing to do with the fact that I can't link Very disappointing and really weird. There is no Micro Type B connector anywhere on this thing! If the manufacturer or Revain provide me with the correct cable, my rating will definitely improve. The case is nice
