Possibly for a bike chain but that's the point, very weak

I bought this to break a camshaft chain on a motorcycle and all I broke was the tool. I tightened the pin on the chain pin, gave it good RPMs and the tool pin broke. Luckily they provided a spare needle. I tried it and it broke just as easily. Both just broke. They are extremely brittle.
