This is a great paddle - very happy with it. To be honest, although we often go to the river, I'm not an expert in buying a lot of paddles. We have three kayaks and all the oars seem very similar to me. It's the same with my family. However it is a comfortable good quality paddle and we have all used it in turn and everyone is happy with it but we don't see much of a difference compared to cheaper paddles. It's very light and cuts water well. My hands were fine after several hours of paddling with it. Very happy with it. Connections are safe. I love that it can be converted into a paddle board (or vice versa). My son can use it for paddling but I'm sticking with the kayak configuration. Works perfectly. Recommended, especially if you have a convertible board.
