We got this bandage for my son when he was about 20 months old. He got tubes at 17 months and we spend our summers at a nearby pool so we had to find something to a) keep his earplugs in his ears; b) don't let him pull out the earplugs; and c) provide another barrier between his ears and the water. Fast forward two years, and at almost 4 years old this headband still does the trick. It's held up well, still working just as well as the day we bought it, and even holding up well for a naughty toddler who doesn't like things on his head at all. He was in total submersion accidentally and briefly twice, wore this headband and earplug, and never developed an ear infection as a result of these incidents. He was also splashed heavily by other children, intentionally and unintentionally, and for this reason he never got water in his ear. I HIGHLY recommend this product (in combination with earplugs) if you have a kid with snorkeling!
