I bought a slightly different model from this seller with terrible results, almost 50 percent failure rate when burning CDs! Came back and decided to try this one. Much better. Just plug and play, successfully burn about 30-35 audio CDs with only 2 or 3 errors. (Keep your computer and recorder on a flat surface, avoid shaking. I used 12x speed, not the best option but works well. Also: the computer doesn't "recognize" the device until you type a blank Insert disc.) How good can it be for less than #25? Well, not bad so far this time. Buy it instead of one that looks like this and costs a few bucks less. NB: In the computer menu, the previous burner is listed as a Matsuhita product, but this one is listed as NEC.
