In general, of course, they are like bags of coal. However, I would like to ask if charcoal absorbs odors, shouldn't air have to flow through the charcoal for it to trap odors? I mean, the charcoal won't reach out and sniff out the smells with their little hands. That being said, I think airflow will be important. It's a mystery to me why the company put a large patch with their company logo on the bag. If they say air can pass through (which I doubt) I bet it would work even better if that patch didn't take up the entire side of the bag. just my thoughts
