Review on Singer 07265 FBA_7265 Thread Box by Kelly Caballes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Small but functional

This is a clear hard plastic box that can hold multiple spools of thread. It has three rows of spindles. The middle row is higher than the side rows, allowing larger or smaller rolls to be placed in a box. many coils and keeps them neat and tidy.* The box is transparent. No more rummaging through a drawer full of threads looking for the right color!* Even though the box is smaller than previous boxes of threads I've bought, it still fits, so its stackability is compatible with other brands.* It comes with a dustproof cover.* It fits both regular sized spools and fine embroidery bobbins, so you're protected no matter what. Cons: * The box is made of fairly hard, brittle plastic. . It feels cheap and doesn't look like it will stand the test of time without breaking.* The lid fits snugly, making it difficult to open and close. This increases my fear that the plastic will tear when opened. When I first started my sewing workshop, I bought two boxes of yarn at my local craft store. The brand didn't say it on these boxes and when I ran out of space and needed extra boxes of yarn I didn't know what to order. I took a chance with the Singer box and was disappointed. Fragile plastic is a big problem. I hate the feeling that I'm holding an eggshell every time I open a box of sewing thread - I'm seriously worried that it's going to crack when I open the lid. That's why I'm giving this thread three stars. It's fine if you're just starting out and need something cheap to organize things, but eventually you'll need something better.
