Arrived broken as it was sent in an unprotected plastic bag

Sent in an Amazon plastic bag with no protection Item had broken corners on top and bottom. It also had stress cracks in the plastic walls. If it had been perfect, it would have gotten three stars at most. It's not very durable.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Long wait

Not very durable with thin plastic that breaks easily.

This is a handy box for storing yarn (I use it to store fly tying yarn/bobbin wire). It is not very strong and durable as the plastic is thin and brittle. Mine arrived already broken and torn in several places. It still works despite the damage and it would be too annoying, expensive and awkward to return it at the purchase price.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • boring packaging

Agree sewing

I have 2 that I bought at Walmart but can't find anywhere. As another reviewer said they are a bit smaller, I have spools from a Missouri Star that fit the originals upside down, but won't fit in without pulling the sides or pulling out the top so the lid doesn't fit. If you have small bobbins like I have in my quilt box subscription, or regular Clark style coats, they work well. Plus the coils fit the posts.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Band

does not hold large threads very well and I would like the tip to hold better. Basically I made them something small on my sewing table using colors I would use on a project I am working on. When the coils were on the table, I always dropped them on the floor. But this is only really good for small spools of yarn. If you use it for the big ones you can only get about 4 in a box and you can't use the lid. The lid is not secure at all. I use them but I can't use the lids.

Pros
  • while satisfied
Cons
  • doubtful

Slightly disappointed

This isn't a bad twine box, but it really could be better if the design allowed for a few extra inches and a tight-fitting lid. You can only place coils on each of the posts in the middle row. The side rows are too narrow to accommodate standard rolls side by side. I know it's for coils, but you can stack 4 on a pole so it really doesn't require that many coil poles. The lid only sits with a small gap at the edge. , making it easy to knock over and easy to spill if hit. I'm looking for a better

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Disappear

Small but functional

This is a clear hard plastic box that can hold multiple spools of thread. It has three rows of spindles. The middle row is higher than the side rows, allowing larger or smaller rolls to be placed in a box. many coils and keeps them neat and tidy.* The box is transparent. No more rummaging through a drawer full of threads looking for the right color!* Even though the box is smaller than previous boxes of threads I've bought, it still fits, so its stackability is compatible with other brands.* It
