I just ordered them and hung them along the roofline. This is my first year decorating my house for Christmas. Overall I like these lights and the options they offer. There are a few things I would like to change. First, I can't use any of the flicker options, they're too fast. I would get a headache from watching. I wish there was a setting that was the speed between the fade and flicker options it has. Second, it has a list of warnings but no instructions, so I'm not sure how to get the timer to work. I have to play with that. Finally, there seems to be some inconsistency from thread to thread. I have ordered 2 of these. I knew I couldn't connect them directly, but I was able to get them to flow together so you can't tell exactly where the second thread starts. Except for the fact that the 2 strands change color at slightly different rates. They're both set to 8 and I've used both remotes to turn them on at the same time. At first they look perfectly in sync, but gradually drift apart, meaning one has a slightly longer cycle than the other. I'll either have to live with it or choose a permanent option that defeats the purpose of the color change. Eventually I'll get more light and use it elsewhere and it won't matter. However, if you want multiple strands in perfect harmony, this may not be the right choice.
