my needs were modest. If someone came to my door, the sensor would be activated. For example, if UPS or FedEx etc. leaves a package on my doorstep, I will be notified. The same would be the case if the porch pirate tried to steal the package. I receive a lot of packages and basically all couriers work the same. Everyone swore not to ring the doorbell. They come to my door as quietly as possible, put the package (sometimes taking pictures) and leave. I work from home, a ring would get my attention. However, I can receive 1 call per 20 packets. This includes those I left a note for to ring the bell. So this device will pick up a moving car or a big truck or my lawn mower on a ridding mower but never a person walking to the door. I've tried maximum settings as well as minimum settings and everything in between. The only thing he will do is kick the camera when the clerk rings. It arrives on my phone pretty quickly. So I can tell them to go. That's the only reason I gave 2 stars. I sent the eufy back because it cost around 200.00 at the time. For all his fragility, he could tell a machine from a person, but he wasn't ready for prime time. To be honest, I give up. If a thief comes and sees this, hopefully they'll think it'll work and run away. I will try again in a year.
