The most important thing is that the headlight works as described. The way it was packaged I thought it might be a return but everything seemed fine. So why three stars? The materials are plastic and not very objective. The lenses are plastic, as are the parts, which are painted silver to make them look like metal. It's a cheap headlamp so I think it emphasizes that you get what you pay for. If money is an issue, the product works flawlessly. It's simple and the rechargeable aspect comes in handy. I haven't used it much, but it's ok considering I paid $23.69. Aside from the inferior plastics, my only complaint is that there aren't any low settings. The lowest setting is still VERY bright. I was hoping for a wider dynamic range, but that's not the deciding factor.
