UPDATE (Feb 21, 2019): After riding 9,000 miles in 60 days with five adult bikes on my back, this product has a fantastic job done! I'm definitely a fan. All 5 wheels fit. I did this without banging the steering wheel or pedals through the spokes of the other wheels. Not sure why others say it doesn't fit 5 bikes. KEY HERE: Change the orientation of the bikes. You CANNOT go all straight left and right. They need to be routed at different angles with different bike crossbars. Because of this, the straps can rotate around the handlebars. We are going on a long RV trip this summer and needed a bike rack for 5 bikes. We already had an Allen 4 bike rack and it was amazing. It took a little longer to figure out how to install all 5 bikes (ALL BIKES ARE ADULTS!) and once I did that I took pictures of everything and even did a tutorial on how to connect them, so is it easy every time. when we pack up and move to the next location (every 2-4 days). Check out the attached photos for how I put on each bike, the orientation and how well they fit together (bike 1 is closest to the vehicle). There are two of them. Cons: 1) The handlebars of the first bike (closest to the car) hit the back wall of our RV. We need a small cushion so the handle doesn't scratch/dent the RV2. The first bike mount is a bit uncomfortable. If you hooked the bike normally (parallel to the ground), you couldn't physically attach the bike to the strap holder without pulling the pivot pin and rotating the device away from the car. You then buckle up the bike (installation from the side of the car), then rotate the device back into place and replace the locking pin. Just weird. But I mount my #1 bike differently, so that's not a problem. I hope this helps others to understand that it is possible to safely place all 5 bikes on a rack by tying them up and still not crushing each other. Problems after 2 months of transportation across the US, I will update my comments. Otherwise two thumbs up.
