First of all the bike carrier is solid and well made. I really like how the mounts swivel to adjust to any angle your bike needs. The clutch locking mechanism works very well. The assembly of the hitch without tools is amazing. The rack has a number of quick-release features. Tilting backwards to access the back of the hat is good. However, a quick release to give up is completely ridiculous. With the strut arms extended this is a really good setup. Everything just falls into place when hands…

We could easily fit five bikes: 24 " women's frame

We're six in our family, five solo riders (yes, we're from the circus). We had a fight between this and a famous brand's clutch when it went on sale for almost 1/3 the price of another, so we thought it was worth a try. We've tried it several times and loved it. We could easily mount five bikes on it: a 24" women's frame, a 26" hybrid, a 26" mountain bike, a 50cm road bike and a 58cm road bike. Even with all the different handlebars, it works well with just a few rubbing spots (see solution…

UPDATE (Feb 21, 2019): After riding 9,000 miles in 60 days with five adult bikes on my back, this product has a fantastic job done! I'm definitely a fan. All 5 wheels fit. I did this without banging the steering wheel or pedals through the spokes of the other wheels. Not sure why others say it doesn't fit 5 bikes. KEY HERE: Change the orientation of the bikes. You CANNOT go all straight left and right. They need to be routed at different angles with different bike crossbars. Because of this…

Good product that seems to have solved the previous problems.

Great product and finish. I installed mine on a 2005 Honda Pilot and found the tilt mechanism to be easy to use and opens the sunroof perfectly. See photos. I have a few comments to make after reading the reviews before purchasing: 1. The carrier is NOT suitable for children's bikes. Our family currently has two adult bikes, one bike for an eight year old and two bikes for two five year olds. When I installed the bikes on this new rack, I found that the younger twins' bikes didn't fit at all…

Full Review: Hands on Experience and Tips

I just installed a custom Curt hitch on a 2016 Kia Sorento. We had planned a trip to Moab, Utah. This is a mecca for mtn bikers and with 3 new mountain bikes for our kids we needed a way to carry 5 bikes to make the most of some great trails in the state parks. So we needed to have some Spring Break fun on 2 wheels. Let's get to the rating. Overall: This is a solid and affordable stand with some handy design features. There are some design flaws that limit its usability for some vehicles. The…
