Great product and finish. I installed mine on a 2005 Honda Pilot and found the tilt mechanism to be easy to use and opens the sunroof perfectly. See photos. I have a few comments to make after reading the reviews before purchasing: 1. The carrier is NOT suitable for children's bikes. Our family currently has two adult bikes, one bike for an eight year old and two bikes for two five year olds. When I installed the bikes on this new rack, I found that the younger twins' bikes didn't fit at all. The good news is they still fit in the car and will eventually require larger bikes to fit on this holder.2. No problem with gunpowder or tape residue on your hands. I've seen this complaint in several reviews and it may have been an old design issue, but I haven't had any such issues with the product I've just received.3. The post has a textured loop for attaching a cable lock or other security solution. In several reviews, customers seemed wise to suggest a way to "fix" bikes on a mounting stand, and I was happy to see mine arriving with the ability to do so. Conversely, the upright only attaches to the hitch with a nut and bolt, and my hitch lock doesn't fit the pre-drilled holes in the upright. So I'll either have to buy another hitch lock or drill a larger diameter hole. Because when bikes are secured with cable locks and a U-lock, a nut and bolt solution will probably suffice for containment. As such, I will most likely only rely on the nut and bolt that comes with the product as the bolt has been machined with a "shoulder" to best secure the mounting post to the hitch. errors. Finding the right configuration is a bit of a puzzle, but not too difficult to plan for. Overall this is a good product, it works as intended and looks well put together. I will update if there are any issues once I travel with this new mounting system.
