Previous experience with Microsoft mice has been rather mixed - excellent design and ergonomics, high price tag, fragility when flying (which is indispensable for mobile use). Now MS have moved up the price tag and become closer to Logitech, retaining visual appeal and ergonomics - why not try (the death of a mouse for 30 USD is somehow easier to experience than the death of a mouse for 80 USD). All the advantages are in place, a cheerful coloring has appeared (before, something funny came across in the limited edition for some absolutely fierce money - Arc with dragons for China, etc.). Connecting to Surface laptops is instant, it feels comfortable in the hand, the plastic is pleasant, the sensitivity / resolution for everyday tasks is on top - so far an exceptionally pleasant experience; time (and flights) will tell how reliable things are.
