I have a very small house which of course means I have a small kitchen. I had two different sizes of these standard white plastic colanders and they took up so much space in my closets. I was looking for an alternative that did the same but was much smaller. This set of strainers is great. Not only do they fold up very small, which is what I was looking for, but they perform much better than their bulky counterparts. First, these hard plastics are not easily cleaned of grease. I've always found silicone to clean quicker than plastic and I love that. Secondly, I'm very happy with how soft they are when stored. Hard plastic will always scratch other items in the closet and leave no marks. Lastly, I like to have a few of these since I make a lot of pasta and veggies, so I love that I can make both pans at the same time. Overall, they met and exceeded my expectations.
