A month ago I bought three packs of this natural colored kinetic sand. I found it to have a heavier texture compared to colored sand because it uses real sand instead of synthetic (colored) particles. Personally, I've had a lot more fun with colored sand as it has a light, snowflake-like texture that's easier to cut and clump. . Not just texture, real sand weighs more. This means you can get more volume and a nicer texture with colored sand from the same amount of 2lb sandbags. Because the purple is fluffier, it looks even bigger on the sand table (I pressed hard to fit both types of sand in the shot glass. I felt like adding more sand with the purple).
