Review on 🎮 HORI Nintendo Switch Multiport USB Playstand - Enhanced for Nintendo Switch Gaming Experience by Justin Gerrero

Short version: This is a really good portable stand, but it needs the full power of the official Switch charger to charge and play. I can power my peripherals without a charger, but that quickly drains the Switch. Long version: I got this to use my PS4 controller in bed, basically in tabletop mode. Joycons are small and my banana hands start to shrink after a while. I'm using Magic NS to connect a PS4 controller to a docking station. This USB hub allows me to do the same in desktop mode and charge the switch when needed. It's great as a stand. When not in use, it folds into a fairly compact, slim body. It also doesn't take up much space when in use. The switch slides in almost as easily as the dock, but you may have to wiggle it to lock it in place. The USB connector is angled slightly so you can plug in the switch without putting too much stress on the connector. Viewing angles are much better than when using a stand. The Switch footboard has an adjustment and you need to adjust it yourself, not the Switch. However, it is highly customizable and will help you maintain better posture while gaming. The USB ports all work perfectly. At the moment I only use one to connect my Magic NS. The only thing that bothers me is the power consumption. Official charger is required to charge while playing. If you use a weaker charger, at best it will keep the current battery level, at worst it will still be empty. I've only tried the official charger and the Galaxy Note 9 charger. Maybe something stronger will work. You might as well try if you don't just get yourself an official charger. I got a second one from Best Buy because I don't trust buying official chargers online over fake ones. Overall, this thing allows me to do exactly what I wanted. As a bonus, I can use a USB extender from the dock to the switch. This allows me to use the gooseneck stand switch with my peripherals. Absolute gaming comfort in the bedroom. Give it a try if you haven't. This will change your life. See my 2nd picture for reference.
