I ended up buying 2 of these dashcams. The first block came and I was not satisfied with 3 minutes of battery life. I was concerned that the parking mode battery would die when the car is turned off and parked. I ordered a replacement hoping for better battery life on the second device. It's not, it's the same 3 minutes. Assuming files are 1 minute long, 3 minutes of battery life should give you enough power to record videos. Due to the quality of the device and ease of use, I decided to live with the 3 minute battery and cancel the return of the original device. Overall I am very satisfied with this device. I had no incident in parking mode. Note: I added a rear camera. It definitely increases battery life. Adheres perfectly to the windshield with the included adhesive. The suction adapter will disconnect after a few hours. Yes, I cleared the area before installing on the window.
