Review on πŸ’» Dexpt UL Listed AC Charger for Acer Laptops and Chromebooks: Aspire, Swift, Spin, Chromebook CB3 CB5, Travelmate P2 P4 P6 by Dawn Valdez

Worked great initially but then blew the battery in my Acer Aspire 5

Updated from below. At first I didn't like this charger. The plug is two-pin, not three-pin like the factory plug. This meant my extension (from the wall) was now virtually unusable. Meh, okay, but this charging cable is actually quite long, just a bit longer than the factory charger and cable, so that was cool. It didn't fit the way a factory charging socket fits a computer, but I quickly found that it was good. The factory was so cramped that it even creaked when turning. This one doesn't, and surprisingly, it doesn't fall out as easily as it seems. However, I also feel like if I accidentally hung it on something it would just trip and not break anything. The box of this charger doesn't get as hot as my old charger, no matter charging or fully charging. This is always a big plus as the factory heats up enough to smell it. So yes I didn't like it at first but overall I really like it now and I will use it if I buy it. additional charging cables. Update After using this cable for a few days, my computer would not boot. The power light came on and then nothing. No download, just nothing. Luckily someone else in this house has the exact same laptop so I thought about it and used their charging cable. Booted up immediately but was told the battery level was 67%. When I turned it off the night before it was fully charged, so I usually turn it off at night when it's charged. I did this when I went to bed. It should have been fully charged when downloaded, but with the right charger it showed the actual battery level. It would continue to flash the low battery warning, then turn off with each percentage of charge remaining. 73% say "2 minutes to full charge", which I don't think is true at all. So now I have to replace the battery and CMOS battery since I've been using this new charging cable. Thank goodness I didn't let anyone use it, otherwise they would probably be in the same boat.
