Review on 🚲 Racor PBH-1R Garage Pulley Lift for Bike Storage by Nolan White

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't be afraid of negative reviews.

I ordered two of these bikes to get our bikes out of the way. I balked at it for a while because of some of the negative comments that put me off, but in the end I decided to just keep going and I'm glad I did. Installation was easy, the hardest part for me was using the stud finder on a 10ft ceiling, but once I had the markings everything else was easy. Now I have two bikes in the air and can walk under them (a lot of) space. As for the negative comments. 1) Hooks need to be bent, mine don't, bikes are secure and if you bent them they probably would be less secure under the saddle. 2) The screws broke, not where they broke, just follow the instructions and drill a pilot hole. 3) Is it really not suitable for a 4 by 2 rafter? The screw holes are on the same line, it fits 1 to 1. Of course if you haven't read the instructions you can try to use 4 screws (and I don't know why the extra holes on the side) and then it won't work 4) The rope is fraying, no, everything worked fine for me again. However, I suspect that if you thread the rope around the locking mechanism incorrectly, it could get chewed up. In conclusion, I am very satisfied that the product is well finished and has a good design. It was delivered quickly and is clearing up my garage. If you are thinking about it then I recommend the product, just sit down and read the instructions carefully first, you will not be disappointed.
