I love this fan: ceiling fans

This is the first fan I've had to buy in a few years and I'm so happy with how much better this fan is than my previous one . It is a DC motor that is very quiet and has a unique initial movement as it calibrates itself when switched on. That looks great! The blades are all wood and they are very clean (no dangling drive chains or engine ports visible). The lighting has multiple color temperatures to match your style and dims in minimal increments. The remote is packed with features and works great. There's a natural wind setting that randomly switches the fan between six speeds (yes, it's a six-speed fan) to simulate a wind changing from one minute to the next. It also has timers and a button to change the direction of airflow (no need to climb a ladder looking for a hard-to-reach fan switch!). It has an app that lets you do everything fans can do from your phone! It's Alexa-enabled, so I just tell Alexa to turn the fan on and off, and it listens. Perhaps most surprising is the ease of installation. The instructions in the printed manual are adequate but honestly not great but it's all very intuitive and here's why.... Each cable group has a unique harness that only suits the partner it was designed for! You really can't mess anything up! In addition, lines coming from the ceiling are routed in a junction box that is pre-assembled directly on the mounting bracket! Wire nuts and electrical tape are not needed for twisting wires! I've never seen this on a fan and it made installation so much easier! As far as airflow goes, it's amazing! I was concerned about a fan with only three blades, but let me tell you that my master bedroom (which is large) feels like a hurricane at speed 6. It's like a giant airplane propeller on my ceiling. Here's my ONLY downside.... There is a slight knocking noise coming from somewhere inside the fan. It sounds like a screw turning in a fan or something, and it always sounds the same (not faster or slower) no matter what speed the fan is running. I don't know if this is normal or unique to my fan. If there is ambient noise in the room (such as a baby monitor) or the fan is running at level 5-6, you won't hear it. Great fan for the money.
