If anyone like me don't get frustrated when you get this tool, don't expect to find a loose screw in the box or expect a silver one metal threaded rod. pieces for the screw in the middle hole, they don't apply! First you'll need a hammer to pound the metal lead screw into the hole so it fits snugly as the instructions say, but don't include the specific details needed to start the mechanism. The screw itself is in a real heavy metal base they call a (set screw) for which you need a hex wrench which some might also call a hex wrench. I usually tend to get things right, but this particular item stuck with me and thank goodness my mechanical husband saved the day by getting this item right! As the saying goes, two heads are always better than one! I didn't give this review five stars simply because the instructions were very vague. I like accurate, clear instructions, step by step instructions, and when I didn't get that from this company, they also took off an extra star for not including all the details. I hope this review will help save the seller's trouble and bad review. Thanks Seed Junkie
