Box opened and heard the sound of loose gravel, didn't care much until I went to calibrate the scale, couldn't zero it and then realized the shot (no lead) came out of the ground the pan. I realized I could take it. I started trying to fill the shot, then I found that there is a screw in the shot cavity that enters the thread in the base. I finally decided that I needed to remove the stainless steel from the top in order to reattach it. It was glued on. Loosened the glue with a heat gun, removed the plate, tightened the screw, now I try to glue the plate again. At this point I'm pretty sure I've voided any warranties or return policies, so I'm just going to stick with it. For the money I expect good workmanship.
