Good product for surge protectors

I have used this product with an RCA preamp to help RCA live longer. Lightning is the force that destroys the preamp. The device drains excess charge to earth. (Yes, you grounded it to a ground rod with a copper wire via the included clamp). I've had several storms since installation; So far, so good.
