Review on Acacia Wood End Grain Cheese Board By Ironwood Gourmet - Calistoga Series by James Bull

Poor Quality - Looks Nice, But Won't Last.

I bought this for my father-in-law to replace an old cutting board that was starting to crack down the middle. The other board was about 5-years old and made out of cheap wood. I bought this one thinking it would be an upgrade. It arrived and I was impressed by the look and feel of it. Sturdy, but not heavy. I gave it a thorough oiling and let it sit overnight. After about a week of daily use, the cutting board had warped. It is now more of a cutting bowl. I don't know why this happened. It was properly cared for, probably better cared for than most cutting boards. But what am I supposed to do with it now? It's not worth the money to send it back. So I think I am going to make one and give it to him for Christmas.

Pros
  • The Acacia Wood End Grain Cheese Board from the Calistoga Series by Ironwood Gourmet is a true showstopper. Its stunning design and unique end grain construction make it a statement piece in any kitchen or dining room
Cons
  • The board may not be ideal for individuals who prefer a more modern or sleek aesthetic in their kitchen or home decor
