Review on Zyliss E940005U Swift Dry Salad Spinner: Efficient Large Green Spinner by Eddie Duncan

I've had this and its predecessors for decades - they're just the best (IMHO). It works great, works fast and the lid never latches (like some other fancy expensive models do). The result is always perfect - you get your leaves as dry as you want them to be. However, as well pointed out by user Sage, there is a serious design flaw in this model that, less than a month later, is causing me problems with this new model. . Sage described it perfectly: The inner green disc fits snugly into the lid, but in no time at all the brittle plastic clips wear out to the point where they no longer hold the inner disc in place. This causes the inner disc to come loose when, like me, you remove the spinner cover with one hand and during cleaning (see image). Worse, as learned from Sage (but not me - yet), it causes the spinning to fail. My wife and I still love this Zyliss spinner, but we are concerned that we will have to replace it under warranty very soon.
