Looks great, hardware not perfect

Love the design; It sits well on my desk and the wood grain looks good, just how I wanted it. What I don't like are the small pieces of metal that hold the hardware to the pad on the back of the frame. They pierce the substrate and press into the photo itself, resulting in small circles that pierce the photo. I'm getting by without any brackets holding the carrier in place, but this is clearly an imperfect design. If I had a piece of cardboard to tape over, it probably wouldn't be such a big deal. I can also use tape to ensure the backing stays in place without using clips.
