I received a thoughtful email from the seller: very kind. This was an exact replacement for my trailer's cabinet latch - I had to drill mounting holes in the latch because my setup used larger diameter screws - easy modification - I do NOT recommend simply putting larger screws in the mounting holes as that almost certainly got stuck would be the catch - take the time to get it right. I had to replace the latch because the tab on the door engages the spring loaded latch on the side of the cabinet and when the door is not fully closed or you move the door to touch the latch but change your mind and try it again open It is possible for the spring-loaded latch to close facing the door latch. If the next time you try to close the door you find it won't close completely, DO NOT force it or you will likely damage the latch. So I had to buy these replacement parts. It is very easy to re-open the side latch of the cabinet to get the tab on the door with a small screwdriver or even the handle of a spoon. These are dark components - use a flashlight to see the tongue and latch working together.
