Review on ๐Ÿฅค Koolatron KMJ-01 Total Chef Power Juicer with Stainless Steel Design by King Reeves

Great juicer for the price

This juicer works very well for the price. I recently did a 10 day fast. Using the Koolatron Total Chef Juicer, I got the following: 3 medium nectarines produced 9 ounces of juice, 2 medium apples produced 6 1/2 ounces, 3 cups of grapes produced 8 ounces, and 6 medium carrots produced 6 ounces. Koolatron didn't do well with leafy greens. It would take a fair amount of cabbage to get 5 ounces. Since I was sorting a lot of veggies, I decided on a juicer that gets more out of leafy greens. I bought an Omega J8005 juicer which costs $258 which is significantly more than the Koolatron. Here's the yield I got from Omega: 3 medium nectarines yielded 12 ounces, 2 medium apples yielded 8 ounces, 8 cabbage leaves yielded 6 1/2 ounces, and 30 spinach leaves yielded 2 1/2 ounces. A friend got sick and wanted to start juicing. for the health. I gave her my Omega J8005. Which got me back to Culatron. The Omega J8005 has a 1 1/2 wide chute to feed fruit and veg into the juicer so I had to chop everything up into small pieces. While the Koolatron parachute is 3 inches wide, I cut things down just to fit in the parachute. I decided to cut my fruit and veg into small chunks as I serve them through the Koolatron chute to see if I could increase the amount of juice produced. Here's the amount of juice I got after chopping the fruit and veg into small chunks: 6 medium carrots yielded 8 oz (2 oz more), 2 medium apples yielded 8 1/2 oz (2 oz more and 1/2 ounces more). 2 ounces more than Omega J8005). I was able to get more juice out of my Koolatron fruits and veggies by chopping them into smaller pieces. Another mistake I made was using a plunger to push the fruit and veggies down. Instead, toss the food down the chute and give the juicer time. Also, don't overfill the gutter; Make the objects bounce around. Use a plunger to close the chute opening to keep objects from popping out. I was even able to extract more juice from leafy greens using this technique. The Omega J8005 still produces more leafy green juice than the Koolatron, but I'm very impressed with the Koolatron now that I know how to use it properly.
