Review on Enhance Meat Flavour & Texture with Buffalo Tools Sportsman SM07492 Meat Tenderizer/Cuber in White by Debra Brown

It's good for some things but not others

He uses those gnarly plastic rollers to 'cut' meat into cubes. The rollers are in a fixed position, not on tension springs, so cuts of meat thicker than 1/2 inch will not pass through. I first used it with thinly sliced pork tenderloin patties and made the best schnitzel ever. But a fatter flat steak wouldn't swallow it; I softened the edges but not the middle which made it look weird and cooked. I use it without the plastic cap to see what's going on. Overall I like this device; he is only limited in what he can do. Robust construction. You should have a spot on a counter or table with a ledge to secure this device and where you don't care if it leaves a mark. You'll have to tighten it pretty tight because you'll have to twist it with some force. You have to clean the device manually; It doesn't disassemble for cleaning, and you'll spend some time cleaning raw chunks of meat off the rollers (and gears, if you're crazy). Overall I like it and will be slicing the meat that needs tenderizing to sizes appropriate for this machine, i.e. no wider than about 4 inches and no thicker than 1/2 inch.
