Not cast iron and generally sucks

Made of aluminum, plastic rollers and gears. It does not help tendons in deer and other game. Rather, it literally mutilates the flesh, crushing and mincing it so hard that it's really uncomfortable to work with. The tendons are the only thing holding the ground beef together as it goes through the machine. Don't waste money, time and meat. Look for something with adjustable rollers or rollers that make tiny cuts instead of just mashing the meat.

Sportsman SM07492 Meat Tenderizer/Dice

For the money it does a good job. If you feed the meat it will straighten, I found it best to remove the plastic meat feed guide. I use it primarily for packaged boneless pork loin that I cut to 1/2 inch thickness. It works great for me with this type of meat, but it spreads as you put the meat through the tenderization process. The softeners are hard plastic which works very well, the unit is surprisingly heavy, it also clamps up to 2 inches, my countertop was a little thicker so I used a…

Bought this on Revain Prime for less than $20. There were some reviews that gave it poor ratings. However, you have to remember how much the "perfect" car would cost - $100 plus. This car is not perfect. But for the price it's great. You must read the instructions and make sure you don't exceed the capacity. It cuts perfectly into 1/2 inch pieces; Don't try to make 1 inch pieces. For the pork schnitzel, I took a whole pork loin and sliced it into 1/2 inch thick slices. I got a little carried…

It's good for some things but not others

He uses those gnarly plastic rollers to 'cut' meat into cubes. The rollers are in a fixed position, not on tension springs, so cuts of meat thicker than 1/2 inch will not pass through. I first used it with thinly sliced pork tenderloin patties and made the best schnitzel ever. But a fatter flat steak wouldn't swallow it; I softened the edges but not the middle which made it look weird and cooked. I use it without the plastic cap to see what's going on. Overall I like this device; he is only…
