I ended up just using the medium size
Works great. I have muddy water blonde hair and prefer this brown over lighter colors. My hair is medium to medium length. The large bun machine is slightly oversized to be useful. The middle one just fits. Oddly, I end up with a bun of about the same size when I use a small one.
