So we've finally parted with our baby monitor. Our daughter's bedroom (age 10) is on the opposite side of the house from ours. We just wanted to be able to talk to her without yelling at the whole house. She loves to lie in bed at night and read. We contact her on the "walkie-talkie" to let her know it's time to go to bed. She uses it to let us know if she needs us or if she's moving. For example, she will tell us that she got up and went to the bathroom. Our daughter and her friends also use walkie talkies when playing outside. They can reach each other up to 3/4 miles apart! We live relatively close to the interstate and sometimes truckers drive here. Very durable. Holds a charge very well.
