I was skeptical of the wide size span, 12 to 18. I didn't expect them to fit me as 12-14. But they do fit very well and also are very comfortable. The fabric is described as "breathable" , it has barely visible stripes where it's not quite solid. Perhaps that makes breathable.They could be shortened, but I don't think I'll bother. I could fold or cuff it easily.I haven't washed them yet, cannot comment on that. I looked for fuzz that sometimes appears when worn on polyesters but it wasn't readily apparent. I ordered a second and third pair in different colors. The denim blue is bright blue, not what you would expect as a denim color. I ordered the navy as well. A surprisingly good purchase.
