I didn't find them easy to apply - I had to stretch the silicone very hard to get on my ILL plates. Not bad but took longer than expected - not 5 minutes. Then after putting them on I had to stretch even more because the brim was uneven - thick on one side, thin on the other. And the corners look stretched. Maybe my technique wasn't great, but most other things I fix are going well. The bolts I received were a smaller diameter than the ones I pulled out so I reused the two old bolts above as the new ones would be loose. I used 2 new screws on the bottom because they hadn't been used before. You were fine. Putting on the screw caps turned out to be more difficult than expected - couldn't handle my thumb; I had to press on them with a tool and hit them to snap them into place. So they're ok, but I probably wouldn't buy them again. But the paint isn't peeling after 5 months like the last pair of cymbal holders I bought from Revain, so that's a plus. And they were in Revane's daily deal, so not that expensive.
