I bought this along with the golf net I bought. I like the three grass textures. We use mats (very expensive) on our club driving range in winter. It is very close to the club mats. Instead of tearing up the lawn with plastic golf balls, I use a mat. I just want the bump on the mat to be as short as our bump on the track. UPDATE: I practiced with the mat a few times. The only thing that annoys me is mid-territory shots. You have to drive the ball close to the edge in order not to stop on the shorter "grass". However, I am working on it and I find the mat and net very comfortable compared to the driving range.
