Review on Monoprice 2-Port USB DisplayPort Cable KVM Switch with 🔌 Remote Port Selector - Supports 4096X2160@30Hz, Microphone, Speakers - 138294 by Brandon Christianson

Tried it twice - both had defective displayport cables. The first seemed to work, but one of the DP ports randomly turned off or flickered (as if there was a bad connection), and the DP port resulted in artifacts and streaks on the screen (when used for a single monitor 2560 x 1440 at 144Hz). . I checked three times that everything else is working - the switch just didn't have good DP ports/cables. The second worked fine on one port, but the other DP port didn't work at all. Changed cables again and tried many different configurations - one port just wasn't connected properly. After my second try I switched to another brand - I don't want to waste any more time on this and the build quality of 1 out of 4 working DP ports doesn't inspire me to try again. Importantly, the USB paths and switching worked fine on both - the DP cabling is just plain bad.
